Your roots are not in the soil, but in the people and purpose you carry with you
Whether you are embarking on your first global move, or a seasoned expatriate, every relocation is a transitionary phase of your life. You may be moving alone, with a partner, children, or pets and each host country requires new adjustment. Political system, cultural difference, language barrier, local nuances, schooling options, climate, health care are just a few factors you need to weigh in.
Another consideration is the personal ecosystem you may leave behind: the care of aging parents, the impact of dual income concerns (such as a partner leaving an established career), and the loss of your established social security and support system of friends and family.
As your coach, I pivot to provide straightforward, practical tools and strategies. We’ll work actively to set realistic goals, break through blocks, and build the fulfilling life you choose. Let’s embrace this opportunity for personal reinvention and seize your freedom for meaningful growth.

When to Activate Coaching Support
Pre-Departure Readiness
Developing a Confident Action Map and building Emotional Clarity. This phase focuses on identifying individual stress points, ensuring well-being, and setting clear goals for a balanced life. Includes preparing and discussing partner/children’s specific needs before departure.
On-Assignment Well-Being
Support includes navigating the new culture, establishing essential work-life balance, and accessing tools for you to feel fulfilled and connected. Includes strategies for supporting accompanying family in finding their own purpose and managing children’s adjustment.
Repatriation Planning
This involves preparing for the emotional impact of returning (reverse culture shock), facilitating clarity on the next life chapter, and establishing a meaningful footing back home. Includes planning the family’s transition back into the home community and addressing potential reverse culture shock in spouse/children.
Acute On-Demand Support
Providing an Immediate, Confidential Anchor when unexpected crises hit. This essential support quickly stabilizes the inner world, helps you regain focus, and builds personal resilience. Support extends to helping you manage and respond to acute crises impacting you or accompanying spouse/partner (e.g., separation, unexpected illness).
What Coaching Sessions Look Like
The structure of my coaching program is specifically customized to align with your individual needs and goals. To ensure we have the adequate time and focused attention to fully complete your goal, I will recommend an average of four sessions.
This flexible approach allows the program to be tailored for:
The individual expat seeking personalized support for the journey of growth and adaptation;
The accompanying partner (offered as integrated or standalone support) to ensure they are mentally prepared and have access to essential transition guidance;
Support structure from HR to relocating employees, actively boosting the likelihood of assignment success and demonstrating proactive duty of care.
